Zen Energy Market Monitor Privacy Policy

Last updated September 20, 2026. This policy explains how Zen Energy Co. and the Zen Energy Market Monitor collect, use, store, protect and share information, including information received through Google and YouTube APIs.

Information we collect

Depending on the features you use, we may collect your name, business name, business email, phone number, state, energy preferences, approximate usage, supplier information, contract expiration dates, saved markets, alert preferences and account authentication information.

How we use information

We use this information to provide market-monitoring features, maintain saved markets and contract trackers, send requested alerts, process rate-review requests and support Zen Energy's commercial energy brokerage services.

Google and YouTube API data

Zen Energy Market Monitor uses Google OAuth 2.0 and the YouTube Data API to let an authorized Zen Energy administrator connect a YouTube channel and upload Zen Energy video content to that channel.

Google data we access

The application requests only the YouTube upload permission (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload) for this integration. The application may process Google OAuth authorization information, a Google OAuth refresh token used to maintain the authorized connection, temporary access tokens used to communicate with the YouTube API, and video files and video metadata submitted by Zen Energy for upload to YouTube.

This YouTube integration does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, or unrelated Google account information.

How Google data is used

Google user data is used only to provide the YouTube connection and upload functionality requested by an authorized Zen Energy administrator. Google user data is not used for advertising, behavioral profiling, credit or lending decisions, data brokerage, or unrelated marketing purposes.

Information received from Google APIs is not used to create, train, or improve generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

Google credential storage and security

OAuth refresh credentials are stored in protected server-side infrastructure and are not exposed to browser-side JavaScript. Temporary Google access tokens are used only as needed to communicate with Google APIs and are not treated as permanent credentials. We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect credentials and other sensitive information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

Sharing and disclosure of Google data

Zen Energy Co. does not sell Google user data. Google user data is not transferred or disclosed to third parties except as necessary to provide the requested application functionality, operate secure hosting and infrastructure, comply with applicable law, or protect the security and integrity of the service. Video content intentionally submitted for upload is transmitted to YouTube as necessary to perform the requested upload.

Google data retention, revocation and deletion

OAuth refresh credentials are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain the authorized YouTube integration. Temporary access tokens are not retained as long-term application credentials. An authorized user can revoke the application's Google access at any time through Google Account permissions.

You may also request deletion of stored Google OAuth credentials or related integration information by emailing support@getzenenergyco.com. We will delete applicable stored credentials and integration data after a valid request unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention or regulatory purposes.

Google API Limited Use

Zen Energy Market Monitor's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Service providers

The application may use service providers for authentication, database hosting, application hosting, email delivery and public energy-market data. Service providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform the services we use them to provide, subject to applicable contractual, security and legal requirements.

Market information

Public energy-market information is informational and may be delayed, revised or unavailable. It is not an executable electricity or natural-gas supplier offer.

Your choices

Account holders can change saved markets, contracts and alert preferences from their account. Account holders can permanently delete their account from Security & Privacy settings.

If you cannot access your account, you can submit an external deletion request at Account Deletion.
